I got the same call now telling me about final warning about ATO...Please dont give any deatils...its a SCAM....

Received calls from the number twice. Once to state I had understated my personal tax and was going to be prosecuted. The second to leave a message "This was my final warning before I would be prosecuted."
Lodged a complaint with the ATO who are presently investigating.

Threatening people they are from the ATO and
wanting money either by credit card or itunes cards.
DO NOT listen to anything they say, they are very
good at convincing you they are the real thing.
Hang up and block their number.

Didnt answer but msg was left on mu msg bank stating i should urgently call 0261886079 back as a complaint had been filed against my name and my personal information is under investigation. If i do not respond in 8 hours i may face legal action. Knew it was a scam as i am not a scam artist!

I keep getting calls from this dodgy number trying to convince me that I'm in trouble with the Australian Taxation Office.
Clearly a scam.

Had 2 missed calls from this number will messages saying it's a final warning from the ATO.
I rang and got the 'no one's available at extension 9197 4009' so left a message that I rang; I rang back an hour later, phone answered by an Indian-sounding guy with Australian Taxation Office' - told him my name - he asked my middle name - then the date of birth. When I didn't give him the DOB as I didn't know who he was, he hung up.

Im getting calls and sms from 0261886079 telling me i will be taken to court for tax evasion.The number is a Canberra number however when I have called back I get a recorded message saying the number 91794009 is unavailable. If I do get to speak with an Indian and they have western names like Ron Barker or Tom Brown. They usually hang up if I question them. Then I callback and the number is sometimes magically disconnected or just rings out. Marketing is one thing but pretending to be an Australian Government agency is another.
