Australia Reverse Phone Lookup

Man ringing.. an Aussie accent I thought unlike others who have posted here. Automated message saying they are from ATO and have received a complaint about tax avoidance and to ring this number back... which I did but no response. I didn't realise it was automated at first so said I don't have any income! How can I owe the Tax Dept?! But he just kept talking. I realised it had to be a scam but voice very threatening. ATO or Police should get onto this smartly.

Ihave just listened to a message on my answering machine.ATO ringing to say I have a law suit against me for tax fraud and to ring the number immediately.I rang my accountant who informed that it is yet another scam.female voice with an eastern accent.

Received a similar call to the above -supposedly from the ATO. Woman caller with a foreign accent. Definitely not worried about leaving the same tel # over and over again....

Caller claims to be from ATO and that warrant has been issued for my arrest due to tax fraud.

I have been receiving this call every week on my answer service. saying that they are from ATO and I am to be arrested due to tax fraud. I am sick of the scam calls I receive, but this one is a threat and should be dealt with accordingly. The person has a Indian accent and gives out this number several times during the conversation.

Caller claims to be from ATO and that warrant has been issued for my arrest due to tax fraud. Will contact ATO and AFP for further input / lodge formal complaint.

Contacted ATO who advised that they will not call people and will only send letters, said do not call number as they have received several complaints and are currently investigating further scams and frauds against this number. They have referred everything to the federal police.
