This fellow purporting to be from the ATO has been harassing my 83 year old mum but I told her just to hang up if he rings again. He told mum she had an outstanding debt with the ATO and she could be arrested if she didn't pay.

I consider this a threatening phone call - have reported to Telstra.

This guy left an automated message on our phone pretending to be the ATO and threatened a lawsuit for "Tax evasion" yeah right mate. left this number. the joke's on him.

Rang me today and left message. Another Indian scam operator.Any wonder I don't answer the phone anymore but leave it go to message, listen to the caller and answer if it's not a scam, advertiser, survey, prize winner (yeah right!), "free" holiday or other such rot.
If people like this pulled this stunt on the street then they would be arrested so I can't see how with all Telstra's high tech gear like voice recognition they can't prosecuted successfully. Australia must be considered easy pickings.

Someone from this number is constantly ringing my phone number and threatening to lay charges against me if I dont pay a fee.
