lot of scams are going on ,no doubt,but when they suggest u by the law firm,do verify the solicitors,i found the accident injury helpline not a fake because gorman lawyers are looking after my compensations and i have recieved paperworks as well.what i personally felt is that they are mediators for us.

I had a phone call from the above number today (10 May at 13:35) telling me that I had had an accident about 3 years ago. My last accident was in 1993 - that's not 3 years ago.
I had heard about this type of calls from girlfriends only on Sunday so I was very aware.
I told them that there was no accident and that it was a scam and disconnected the call. I have also blocked the number on my phone.

Total Scam!!

I had a call today asking if I had been involved in a car accident and if I was insured with RACQ. The call centre rep Alina Smith (spoke with possible Indian accent) from Accident Injury Helpline could not tell me any rego or car details about the apparent accent. She said they act on behalf of Paramount Lawyers. I rang RACQ and they verified it to be a scam.

this is typical phishing scam!

They just called & my daughter answered. He was Indian and she couldn't understand him but he did mention car accident and two years. Hope they ring back,I'm on the do not call register and have a private number. I also have a referee whistle next to my phone and I would love to make his ears bleed.

2 x call saying they are NSW accident line and have been asked by police to ask question regarding car accident within the last 2 years.

they are jenuine people.they helping me to get the compensation ammount.

Same thing. Calling to say "someone in this house had an accident in last two years". Very vague, no name, no registration, no details.

I just said I haven't had an accident, what name are you looking for? Then I said wrong number and hung up.

someone rang from this number and has been calling from this number on and off for 5 years now just lately the calls have been a bit daunting.
1st call there was a little girl crying in the back ground and someone screaming in the back ground may have been a tv on or some thing.
2nd call heavy breathing then hang up tone.
3rd call he screamed hello then hang up tone.
something needs to be done and soon i have tried blocking this number but still show up on my mobile.

Fraudulent ring about a car accident. Indian call centre

Had a call claiming that someone from my number had recently had a car accident. I told them that this was bull**t and the response was "No Ma'am we are accident investigators" Gave me their number and the name Jennifer. I called back later and asked the nature of their business. Was told again accident investigators. Asked how they came to have my number and was told "We call randomly!" Really!?!

Just had a call from a man claiming his name was HARRY dsouza from accident investigations! He said he had a report of a car accident for this phone number! I instantly thought how ridiculous you would have a name or a rego not a phone number! He said in last two years - I asked for his name said this is ridiculous put your manager on and he said he owns the company. I said I am not going to waste another minute on this call goodbuy! Very annoyed because my home number is private and calls like this seem to be increasing now a days - he had an accent -possibly indian and there was a lot of call centre noise in the background but I know they can fake that stuff now days so who knows.

A Indian lady just rang from this number asking for me by name and stated that I had been in a car accident the the past year and she wanted to talk to me about this. I knew it was a scam as I don't drive and I haven't been in any accidents.

I had a call advising I could receive compensation for a car accident. The person I spoke to was possibly Asian. I was unsure if this was a call where they took pot luck to see if you had had a car accident as it was on my work phone number (luckily I guess). I was cautious and got their number to ring back. I would love to think it was a true call but something tells me this is probably a scam. Has anyone else had these people ring them.
