Some Indian guy named Scott called me just now telling me that he was from Microsoft and I needed to do something to my PC to stop sending error messages to Microsoft.
I told him he was a scammer and asked for his phone number - he gave me the (02) 8005 0992 number. I rang that number whilst SCott was on the other line and some other Indian guy answers "Microsoft Technical Support".
Surely someone can trace this number and find out what is going on

Microsoft scam source. Called back and told them they were running a scam, and asked "what are you going to do about it?"

Caller claims to be from Microsoft Technical Support and says there is a virus on your computer. They just want your money. Hang up.

this is a scam number from People say you have a virus and they can help you.
They say there from Mircosoft Tech and ask for a one off payment then they clean your bank account out. be warned

A ERIC BROVO CLAIMING TO WORK A MICRISOFT WANTED ME TO PUT OR DO THINGS TO MY COMPUTOR OF WHICH I TOLD HIM I WOULD NOT DO - HE SAID HE WOULD TURN OFF MY COMPUTOR WHICH WOULD MAKE MY SYSTEM USELESS
I TOLD HIM TO TAKE A JUMP AND THAT THERE WAS NO WAY I WOULD DO THIS AS IT MAY ALLOW HIM ACCESS TO MY COMPUTOR OR SOMTHING
THE NUMBER WAS 0280050992
HIS NME WAS ERIC BRAVO
CLAIMING HE WAS FROM MICROSOFT
NORTHRIDE NSW
AND WOULD BE DISCONNECTING MY COMPUTOR WITHIN ONE MONTH
PLEASE ADVISE ME IF I DID THE RIGHT THING

WARNING FAKE MICROSOFT TECHNICIAN SCAM!
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS TO ACCESS YOUR COMPUTER!
They will empty your Bank account and steel your I.D.
