Received an automated call (in the answering machine of my unlisted phone number) saying there was a warrant out for my arrest due to tax evasion. All letters sent to my registered address had been returned unanswered. Get my lawyer and call their number.

The same as above Tax Department. What a scum bag. I've had some really interesting people trying to scam us but this one is a new one. If in doubt anyone please look up the ATO official number. ATO would never do this.

I got an automatted call from this number claiming to be the tax department and a warrant is out for my arrest because of overdue tax. This is a scam and please do not call them back. ATO never rings people direct, and they will try and get money out of you.
