SCAM!!!
We are the ATO - You have a warrant for your arrest - you have an outstanding tax bill for "$XXXXX" You need to provide a lawyer or pay it now.
No offer of receipts or invoice, wanted to pick up vouchers at Coles/Woolies and claim the voucher numbers.
They originally said they would take a EFT payment to ATO account - when I asked for that option, they said "If you don't want to settle, that's OK, you will see the police in 30 min and then hung up"...
I have had more than that stollen from my yard and not had the police turn up in 2 weeks!!!

Automated caller threatening legal action for Tax avoidance. 3 times in 2 days so far.

Scary automated phone call stating that my tax returns have been tagged by the Taxation Department for tax avoidance, and as previous phone calls to my number have been unanswered and letters returned, I am now threatened with legal action and arrest. It seemed almost believable, as our phone line has been sporadically down over the past six months, and people complain that they cannot call us, or that it goes straight to message bank, and frequently we cannot call out either.

Taxation Office threatening legal action and a warrant for my arrest. 2nd time in 3 years I've had this scam pulled on me.
